The PLIO03 is a compact, programmable multifunction I/O module that is plug & play capable and extends the 500, 500G, 600, eX and eXware series. It transforms HMI applications into complete control applications. The module provides optically isolated digital I/O with overcurrent protection and diagnostic functions. Digital inputs are configurable as encoder or counter inputs and for period/frequency measurements. Analogue inputs support voltage, current, thermocouples and PT100 (RTD) with programmable amplifier and offset. Analogue outputs are programmable as voltage or current outputs. An integrated FPGA measurement controller relieves the CPU. Wiring is simple via removable cotter pins and only a 24VDC I/O power supply is required. Advanced diagnostics at board level are also integrated.
